Two years on as facilities at the Trade Fair Center were pulled down for redevelopment but the same is yet to see the light of day.

Gov't urged to expedite actions on Trade Fair Redevelopment

Member of Parliament for La DadeKotopon, Naa Odoley Sowah, halamentedeplorable state of the Trade Fair Center, two years after it was demolished for redevelopment. She stressed that the situation is having a toll on local businesses as traders are stranded and struggling for a place to display their wares. Structures, housing, and businesses worth millions of Ghana cedis were pulled down together with equipment and furniture for the redevelopment. However, the Trade Fair Center, is currently overtaken by weeds, with debris from the demolition still scattered around the place. The Member of Parliament for La DadeKotopon, Naa Odoley Sowah speaking in an interview with the media during the launch of beach fare at Laboma Beach Resort challenged the government to expedite actions to redevelop the facility. Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority, Mr. Sylvester A. Mensah called on the public to visit the Beach Fair and patronize made-in Ghana goods. Being the third edition of the fair, it is anticipated to create opportunities for traders this yuletide.
