The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto has assured Ghanaians of government's commitment to sustain food security situation in the country.

"With God Almighty as our guide and strength, government will continue to implement its transformational agenda in the agricultural sector in furtherance of its commitment to improving the living conditions of Ghanaians," he stressed.
These assurances were contained in his Christmas messenge he delivered to Ghanaians during this year's Christmas holidays.
"Fellow citizens, I rejoice with Christians home and abroad to celebrate this festive season.
"As we celebrate this joyous season, I thank the Almighty God whose blessings and guidance have steered us through difficult moments and helped us overcome challenges encountered this year," he said.
He noted that "Our reflection on Christmas is an epitome of the abiding love and faith in sharing and caring for one another. Let's use this season to reach out to someone, an obligation that we must all be a brother's keeper.
