A Ghanian philanthropist, Mr Charles Opoku who owns Akosua Baako Foundation, a non-governmental organization has donated 11,00 Exercise Books to some Government schools in the Assin North District of the Central Region.

This is the second time he has given out to the schools in the Assin North District with the aim of helping the brilliant but needy students District through their various schools. The Assin Bereku D/A school, Adom preparatory school, Assin Bereku Orphanage group, Assin Atentan D/A school, Ghana camp D/A school, Assin Ayitey Islamic school, Assin Nkranfuom D/A school, Assin Asibrim D/A school are schools that benefited from the Akosua Baako Foundation.

The Founder of the organization, Mr Charles Opoku who is one of the former students at Assin Bereku D/A Junio High School told that majority of the students needs a bit of push to excel in their academics for the future hence the decision to help them both in the private and Government schools to realise their dreams.

It is part of the initiatives of the Akosua Baako Foundation to support 40 -50 University, polytechnic, Nursing and Teacher Training Graduate within the Next 10 years starting 2021, through funding, with meetings proposal concluded with Ghana Education Service and ASCO authorities.
