Ghana Can Develop Through Our Own Culture But Not On Adopted Culture-Nana Ayima Ngoa Kodom II.

According to Nana Ayima Ngoa Kodom II, the adaptation of foreign culture has brought us to where we are today to the extent that we don't respect taboos, we don't respect the culture and even children of today don't respect the elders anymore because of the adaptation foreign culture into the country.

Ghana Can Develop Through Our Own Culture But Not On Adopted Culture-Nana Ayima Ngoa Kodom II.

Nana Ayima Ngoa Kodom II, the Chief of Bibiani has emphasised that Ghanaians and Africans as a whole can not develop without embracing our own culture which we have neglected.

Nana Ayima Ngoa Kodom II made this statement at a Mini durbar at his palace when he was celebrating the Annual Yam Festival for the year with the people of Bibiani in the Western-North Region.

According to Nana Ayima Ngoa Kodom II, the adaptation of foreign culture has brought us to where we are today to the extent that we don't respect taboos, we don't respect the culture and even children of today don't respect the elders anymore because of the adaptation foreign culture into the country.

He added that gone are the days when our forefathers did responsible mining without destroying the water bodies, there wasn't filt found around the environment as we've been doing to destroy the environment.

He, therefore, pleaded with the traditional authorities in the country to help put a stop to all the bad attitudes and behaviours among the people most especially the youth of the country.
