Funny Face Allegedly Arrested at Kasoa

Funny Face has been reportedly arrested by the police at Kasoa.

He has been arrested on the grounds of unlawful discharge of fireman as he was seen firing a pump-action gun at a bar.

According to JoyNews, the comedian was arrested after he engaged himself in a fight with the pub owner.

This statement came from the Central Regional Police PRO, DSP Irene Serwaa Oppong.

“On the 8th of February 2021, around 3:30 pm, the Millennium Police Command arrested the comedian, Funny Face in connection with an offence of discharging firearm in a public place.”

“Currently Funny Face is in the custody of the police but he will be granted bail today (Tuesday). The drinking spot operator is also in the custody of the police and we are investigating him for assault,”

Per DSP Oppong's words, the police received the complaint directly from the pub owner.

The frightened pub owner stated that Funny a face initially left the fight in anger, only to reportedly come back with a pump-action gun, firing a warning shot at the pub

DSP Oppong intimated that Funny Face also reported the owner for assault.

She stated that the comedian at the time of his arrest proved to be violent but was subdued and brought in by the police

In defence of the general public, the gun has been confiscated from the personal belongings of Funny Face, she maintained.

She adds that the police among other things will as part of their investigation seek to establish the true ownership of the gun and establish whether the comedian has a license to possess the firearm.
