Sarkodie pleads with his fans to avoid parties and stay home during the period of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Award winning rapper, Sarkodie, has asked his fans to desist from parties and public gatherings in a bid to protect themselves and their families from the deadly Coronavirus, as he can still see a lot of people partying and hanging out. 

He said that although he understands an average African's need for social contact and the need to closely interact with other humans, the cure time does not not allow for it, especially for people to continue partying.

"I see my people out there still gathering in groups and some actually partying… I’m from Africa and I know how important socializing is to us but guys Pleeeease stay home for sometime to save yourself, your loved ones and others #COVID19," he wrote on his twitter handle. 

"And please note: the numbers out there in the media is for those tested which I believe is way less than the actual number of people with the virus Microbe #CoronavirusPandemic.”

 

 

 

Although the Ghanaian President, His Excellency Akufo-Addo gave the order to ban all public gatherings when he addressed the nation on March 15, 2020, only a few organizations have adhered to the instructions. 

For the virus to be combated effectively Ghanaian citizens need to fully comply to the rules and regulations set by the administration.
