Following a ban, Twitter reinstates Kanye West's account

Ye, a US rapper, was charged with breaking the platform's rules against inciting violence.

Since his return to the website, whose owner Elon Musk renamed as X, he has not added any new content.

Ye's account now displays his final post as having been made on December 1, 2022, one day before susMusk announced that Ye had "violated our rule against inciting violence" and that the account would be suspended.

It happened after the musician sent out a string of abusive tweets, one of which looked to combine a Star of David.

Ye was initially banned out of his Twitter and Instagram accounts for tweeting anti-Semitic remarks in October, and a similar restriction was imposed two months prior. His posts were deleted on both networks.

Adidas severed relations with the rapper that same month, claiming that company "does not tolerate anti-Semitism and any other sort of hate speech."

Ye was also banned from Instagram for 24 hours in March of last year after calling comedian Trevor Noah by a racial epithet.

Ye's account was reinstated on Saturday, but neither X nor its billionaire owner Mr. Musk have made any public remarks about it.

In November of last year, Musk gave former US President Donald Trump's account a second chance after conducting a poll in which 51.8% of respondents said they supported it.

Trump declared he has no desire to visit the location again.
