Fire Service Personnel Arrives on Fire Scenes With Taxi And ABC Extinguisher

The residents of Akyem Begoro in the Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region this morning witnessed a worse scenario of their lifetime when personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service arrived in a fire scene with a Taxi and Okada to quench a two-bedroom apartment that caught fire between the hours of 10 and 11 am this morning May 28, 2021.

A house was burning at Akyem Begoro, the district capital of Fanteakwa North, believed to be an electrical fault. The fire service personnel arrived there in a taxi and on Okada to quench out the fire.

According to the officials from the Fire Service, the Begoro fire thunder has developed a mechanical fault for over 6 weeks now and all efforts to fix it have proved futile which resulted in the current happenings by attending to a call with a taxi and okada as well as using ABC fire extinguisher to put off the fire in the apartment.

The fire had already destroyed properties worth thousands of Ghana cedis.

Some of the residents stated that Instead of the officers coming with their Van with water, they arrived in a commercial taxi and Okada (Commercial Motorbike) with their ABC extinguisher to quench the fire.

The situation drew much attention at the scenes when the fire couldn’t be quenched with the fire extinguisher.

Buckets of water were used with the help of residents to put off the fire but the harm had already been done to the house owner who was not at home then.
