Fire outbreak at Mankesim destroys lots of properties

Fire outbreak has today hit Mankessim this afternoon in the Nfantiman man Municipality of the Central Region and a lot of property has been destroyed.

Some eyewitness narrates the situation that, during incendent, they tried to call the Ghana Fire Service at the Mankessim branch but took a long time before they came to the scene. 

The landlord of the burnt property explained that he had a distressed call from his son at the market that their house is on fire they rushed to the scene and it was true that their 6-apartment self-contained house had burnt into ashes including everything in the house, he said.

Speaking to the media, the Mankassim Fire Service Commander DO3 Mensah speaking to Sorienews took the opportunity to plead to landlords, landslides, and others to always switch off their electrical alliances when setting off from their homes and before they go to their various workplaces.

He advised that, though the Fire Service is yet to come out the report as to what led to the cause of the fire but said qualified electricians must always be employed to work on our homes and properties. 

The Municipality NADMO officials are also yet to supply some relief items to the affected victims to console them of the situation.
