According to reports, fighting has resumed in the Sudanese city of El Geneina, where at least 200 people were killed over the weekend.
Following a brief pause in the battle on Tuesday, heavy gunshots can now be heard once more.

The Janjaweed militia launched an attack on El Geneina on Sunday, backed by the Rapid Support Force, a paramilitary outfit.
