Fear Grips Residents as Erosion Create a Wide Ditch in the community

Residents say the situation keeps worsening by the day. some say, their worry is the trench being close to the span used by their wards to school.

Soireenews in an engagement with Mr Anokye popularly known as Obidi a teacher who is worried over the current state of the ditch.

What worries me is the students who use the road day in day out, imagine kids using this kind of road during the rainy season he quizzed.

A resident recounted a moment a lady and her kid nearly drowned. She explained that" a lady and her kid were crossing this small gutter, they almost drowned because they had no idea how deep the ditch was, it took a good Samaritan to swim and save their lives.

A middle-aged man who resides close to the gutter is pleading with residents whose dumps refuse to drains to desist from such act. He advised that, is good for them to put a stop to such attitude than to create their own grave.

The residents are therefore pleading to the local authorities to come to their aid before something terrible occurs.

They say a lot of activities are carried out at the exact area where the ditch is located which needs urgent attention to curb unforeseen incidents.
