EPA Offices Shutdown For Disinfection Exercise

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has directed all its offices across the country to be closed down for disinfection exercise. The closure is expected to begin on Monday, February 1, 2021, to Wednesday, February 3, 2021, and expected to be re-opened on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has directed all its offices across the country to be closed down for disinfection exercise.

The temporary closure is expected to begin on Monday, February 1, 2021, to Wednesday, February 3, 2021, and expected to be re-opened on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

The exercise is expected to be done across the country to ensure the safety of the staff and the general public.

The directive which was contained in a press statement signed by the Executive Director, Mr. Henry Kokofu copied to SN24 News indicates that the closure will pave way for the disinfection as a measure to contain the spread of the new wave of coronavirus.

The directive came on the back of the upsurge in the spread of the pandemic.

The statement has directed all Regional Offices to be made available for the disinfection exercise and has urged that arrangements be made for the staff to be tested.

According to the report, all Regional Heads are to adhere to covid 19 safety protocols to ensure their protection.

All Regional and Area Heads is to seek funds from local companies for the disinfection exercise, submit the bills to the Head Office for payment.

"Management will continue reviewing the situation and issue further directives when necessary", the declaration further intimated.
