Electoral Commission Postpones District Assembly Elections In Some Areas

The new date for the elections is tomorrow, December 20th, 2023.

THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION (EC) of Ghana has announced postponement of the District Assembly Elections in some areas and apologized for any inconveniences caused by this postponement.
In a letter of postponement of the District Assembly Elections, the EC writes that '
Dear ward Coordinators and assembly member aspirants, This is to inform you that the Electoral Commission has postponed the district assembly elections that were originally scheduled for today, December 19th, 2023. The new date for the elections is tomorrow, December 20th, 2023.
The Electoral Commission cited unavailability of some electoral materials as the reason for this postponement. They are working to ensure all materials are available and properly distributed to enable voting take place smoothly tomorrow across all the polling stations in the district.
We apologize for any inconveniences caused by this postponement. Please help inform all your party agents, polling agents, and campaign team members about this new date. Also help educate voters in your ward and constituencies so they can turn out to vote tomorrow.
