Manchester United are yet to respond to Dortmund's refusal to accept their bid for Jadon Sancho.

The Bundesliga club quickly rejected Manchester United’s €100m bid for the player on Tuesday evening.

The Guardian reports that Dortmund have told the Red Devils of no point in bidding less than €120m (£109.6m) for Jadon Sancho after discussions between the clubs on Tuesday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer badly needs the 20-year-old English International and have been chasing him for months.

Donny van de Beek is the only player signed by the Premier League club, putting every transfer on hold until the arrival of Sancho.

United’s time is running out on the possibility of bringing in an alternative as the transfer windows enter its final week.

Dortmund are not backing out from their price demand on the player disregarding the England teams ‘take it or leave it’ offer after United failed to meet their August 10 deadline.

The club’s failure to land their marquee signing means they would weigh up options to bring in a winger in place of Jadon Sancho or improve their offer.

Ivan Perisic, Douglas Costa, Kingsey Coman and Ismaila Sarr are names targeted by Manchester United who can help improve their squad and compete in Europe and the Premier League.

The window will close on Monday, October 5, 2020, and United have a few days to meet the asking price of Jadon Sancho.
