The DCE made the foregoing commendation when paid a working visit to rice farmers in the Kojokumikrom electoral area of the Dormaa West District 22nd June 2023.

The The Dormaa West District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Bono Region, Mr.Francis Kwadwo Oppong has congratulated to hundreds of the rice farmers in the district for their continuous efforts of contributing immensely to the rice food production in the country.

The DCE made the foregoing commendation when paid a working visit to rice farmers in the Kojokumikrom electoral area of the Dormaa West District 22nd June 2023.

According to him, the Dormaa West District is one of the districts in the Bono Region that have benefited from the government’s One-District-One Factory (1D1F) policy with a pice processing factory through the former member of Parliament ,Hon Ali Maiga Halidu 
The DCE made this visit in his quest to ensure that the purpose of which the factory was set up is achieved.  

At the Kojokumikrom Pentecost Church, where 67 rice farmers were gathered,  Hon. Francis Kwadwo Oppong commended them for their efforts to grow more rice to feed the factory. 
The farmers put their grievances before the DCE, and he assured them that his outfit would address them accordingly.  

Cutlasses were shared among the farmers. He promised them that his outfit would donate tarpaulins and weedicides in his next visit to aid them in their farming 
The DCE proceeded to various farms for inspection and commendation. 

He was accompanied by some assembly staff and the District Agric officer, Mr. Paul Avah.
