Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the #Occupy Bank of Ghana protesters will besiege the nation's mother bank to demand for the removal of its Governor.

The protesters believe that allowing the Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison and the Board of Directors to still be in the helm of affairs will further worsen the plight of the country's ailing economy.

The protesters will strictly be seeking nothing but for the removal of the Governor of the BoG, Dr. Ernest Kwabena Yedu Addison, his deputies and board.

The calls for his removal has been expedient at this material moment to preserve and sustain what is left of the country, Ghana.

It is on this score that a group calling itself Democratic Credential Network Ghana backs the Minority in Parliament on the #OccupyBoG protest. In a press release copied to Soireenews.com, the DCN-Ghana noted,

"In fact, we are completely scandalized by the facts on the procurement infractions being supervised by the Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison, his deputies and the board".

The secret printing of over GHS60 billion leading to the hyper inflation of about 54.1% resulting in a negative impact on the Ghanaian people, according to the DCN-Ghana is unfortunate, unacceptable and demand the removal of those in the helm of affairs to safeguard the country.

"We are also aware of how the BoG sheepishly and shamefully altered the initial budget allocated towards the building of the infamous new head office of the central bank at the time Ghanaians are struggling with harsh debilitating economic conditions. Democratic Credentials Network Ghana backs Minority on #OccupyBOG demo and call on Ghanaians to fully participate.

DCN-Ghana further added, "As a Think Tank aimed at influencing public policy and serving as a check on public institutions including the Bank of Ghana, we commend the Minority Group and other progressive forces for their collective actions in ensuring that management ills at BoG are corrected".

In conclusion, the DCN-Ghana said having weighed the troubling issues at BoG, it is important we also join the Minority group to demonstrate against the rotten deals going on at the BoG".

The DCN-Ghana wishes to impress upon all well-meaning Ghanaians to join in the demonstration organized by the Minority Group of Ghana's Parliament dubbed#OccupyBoG scheduled for 5th September, 2023.
