A chartered economist, Enoch Okuna has said Ghana over the years has had better policies but implementation is the challenge.

He was speaking in an interview with Kwabena Obeng Akrofi on Ark in the morning monitored by SoireeNews discussing the mid-year budget review presented in parliament by Honourable Ken Ofori Atta.

Mr Okuna said when the covid-19 pandemic was reputed, the government came out with a laudable policy of a relief fund to support affected businesses but the implementation was politicized and the wrong people enjoyed the benefits at the spence of those really affected.

He, however, added that this does not mean anyone should politicize the recovery levy giving making the government unpopular by taken back the free water and electricity.

‘’As an economist, I was optimistic that the finance minister could not have demanded additional or supplementary budget and he rightly did that meeting his expectation, he added.

He said the expenditure projected as Ghc.110 billion was too high already and the fundamentals of the economy do not call for any additional demand saying he was pleased with the presentation done by Ken Ofori Atta.
