The Chief of Dawhenya and his opinion leaders in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region,Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV have commissioned a newly constructed footbridge in the area, amidst chatting of praising songs of residents to commend Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV and his elders for the good work done.

The Chief of Dawhenya and his opinion leaders in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region,Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV have commissioned a newly constructed footbridge in the area, amidst chatting of praising songs of residents to commend Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV and his elders for the good work done.

The footbridge constructed Tetteh Kodie Arden lV and his people has served as a major link route of the old and new Dawhenya to ensure easy accessibility to other towns and villages within Dawhenya enclaves.
 
Speaking at a brief ceremony to commission the newly constructed footbridge, Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV, explained that the footbridge over the river between old and new Dawhenya had broken down over years.

He revealed that residents of the two communities shared similar cultural traits and engaged in joint commercial activities on a daily basis but have only a footbridge linking them which has damaged.
He stated several attempts had been made by the residents of the two communities to get the state authorities to get it fix the deplorable nature of the footbridge but nothing was done on it.

Having be development oriented chief of the area, Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV noted that he solicit for fund from the well meaning citizens of the area, making them to build the bridge to ensure easy movement of the people in the area.
He stated that initially the damaged bridge was hampering economic activities in the area such as restraining school children from education.

The threatening phenomenon which has compiled him and his people to construct the  new footbridge to ensure the school children cross the river to school for their better future.
Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden lV, assured to collaborate with the key stakeholders and philanthropists to do everything humanly possible to improve the standard living for the people of Dawhenya.
 He further pledged his commitment to ensure that he helps the communities with development.

He used the occasion to call on stakeholders and philanthropist, as well as all the indigenes of Dawhenya to assist in building a District Police headquarters which is the next project on his agenda.
On their part, some Residents who ply the route of Old and New Dawhenya Footbridge commended Nene Tetteh Kodie Arden IV, for heeding to their plea to get the footbridge build on time.
They stated the footbridge would help boost trade and industries as it serves as the shortest route linking the communities.
