The Krontihene of Seikwa Traditional area in the Tain District of the Bono Region, Nana Yaw Kaka III who doubles as the acting President of the Seikwa Traditional Council has cautioned the residents of the area against illegal lumbering.

Nana Yaw Kaka III in an interview with Soiree news noted that, due to illegal lumbering, all the forest reserves in his area have now turned into desert.

Nana added that, the trees protect the environment and humans but the practice of illegal lumbering in the area has deteriorated the forest in the area.

He has therefore threatened to deal with anybody found in the area without any proper documents from the Forestry Commission engaging in illegal lumbering.

“You dare not venture into our forest if you have not been certified by the forestry commission to do so or you will face the wrath of Nananom, and the law will deal with the person” he stressed.

He warned all to desist from illegal lumbering to protect our forest.
