The National Communication Authority has asked Ghanaians to complete the phase one of the sim re- registration exercise before proceeding to their service providers.

Deputy Director of Consumer and Corporate Affairs of NCA, Mr. Kwame Gyan speaking on Ark in the morning show monitored by Soiree News

on Tuesday said, a good number of people walk to the offices of the NCA or their service providers without going through the first phase.

He said, the phase one is the provision of the individual's basic information on the *404# where the person's name, date of birth, Ghana Card Number and Gender are required.

He noted that, this is slowing the registration process at the various offices and agent points of the providers.

He said this when commenting on the World Consumer Rights Day marked on 15th March every year. The NCA is today marking the day at Dormaa Ahenkro and has taken advantage of the registration to assist the people of the area register their sim cards.
World Consumer Rights Day is celebrated on March 15 annually as a means of raising global awareness about consumer rights and needs. On this day, the governments around the globe spread awareness about consumers’ rights and needs.

He appealed to people to endeavor to register their sim cards and desist from waiting for the eleventh hour.
Mr. Gyan appealed to Ghanaians who do not have the Ghana card to get one so that they can complete the registration process.
