The Member of Parliament, (MP) for Damongo Constituency, Honourable Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor on Sunday, July 18, 2021, commissioned an MP office complex in Damongo.

The office complex will serve the people of the constituency on daily basis. Honourable Jinapor stated that the office edifice was part of his fulfilment of a major campaign promise he made to the constituents during the 2020 electioneering campaign where he will be meeting to discuss issues of the Constituency.

The Damongo MP and also doubles as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources said the premises of the office is also opened to the general public for wedding and graduation ceremonies and other gatherings. He said an ultra-modern community centre construction is however underway.

The office opening was witnessed by a Special Qur’anic recitation by the Imams of the Laribanga Muslim community to seek the Almighty Allah blessings. 

Honourable Jinapor asked for the blessings of God unto the Constituency and also used the opportunity to thank the people of the Constituency for the confidence reposed in him as their representative to Parliament House.

He promised to bring the needed development to the people of the Damongo Constituency.

Lawyer Jinapor emphasized areas that he would want to tackle to change the lives of his people which is the provision of farm equipment and inputs to farmers, provided accessible capital for women into Small scale businesses, provision of potable drinking water to Damongo and its environs and construction of accessible roads in Damongo township and its environs.

The office complex is the first of its since the creation of the Constituency several decades ago.

The ceremony was witnessed by many across the political divide in the Constituency.

The guests who graced the ceremony were Hon Benito Owusu Bio, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency in the Ashanti Region, as well as Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon George Mireku Duker and the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuem.

Hon Jinapor contested the 2020 general elections on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP and won as the Legislature of the Damongo Constituency of the Savannah region.
