Circuit Court In Kumasi Threatens To Discharge The Suspects If The Prosecution Delays The Process 

The Circuit Court in Kumasi trying three old students of the Opoku Ware School for alleged robbery has threatened to discharge the suspects if the prosecution delays the process. 

The case has suffered adjournments due to the prosecution's inability to file a witness statement.

During sitting on Tuesday (November 15) the judge said on the next adjourned date that, the suspects will be discharged if the prosecution fails to submit the documents for the case to proceed.

The case has been adjourned to December 8, 2022, for a Case Management Conference. 

The suspects Akwasi Adu Donkor, Raphael Owusu Appiah, and Osei Kwadwo Asubonteng allegedly attacked and attempted to rob the Kumasi-based cabdriver on August 11, 2022.

Defense lawyer William Asamoah Sarpong who sided with the court's position described the posture of the prosecution as frustrating.
