Chelsea have begun their search for a new striker before this season runs out.

The Blues wants to recruit a new centre-forward before the start of next season as they approach the summer window transfer.

With Kante in the middle who always control the pace of the game, a forward will be needed by the Stamford Bridge men.

Many strikers are on the wishlist of Chelsea but report reveals that the Polish International has become a viable target in the camp of the Blues.

The Blues have already enquired about Lewandowski's availability and, are hoping they can persuade him to come to the Premier League and make his presence felt.

According to Sky Sports News in Germany, Chelsea have made contact with the representatives of Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski ahead of a proposed transfer this summer. 

The 32-year-old Munich striker over the years has been understood to prefer a move to Spain if he were to leave the Bundesliga this summer but is also happy to stay in Germany and play for Bayern.

Several reports further reveal that, If the Blues however fail to agree a deal to sign Lewandowski, then they may look to other targets including Harry Kane from Spurs, Romelu Lukaku of Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland.
