Captain Caught Red Handed Over Alleged 10,000 Dollars Bribe

The political critics and a host on the Onua TV morning show have finally been exposed after he was caught red-handed taking 10,000 bribes from his victim.

Officers of the National Signals Bureau were reportedly in court to present alleged pictures and videos of Captain Smart taking 10,000 bribes from his victim.

This followed after the complainant of one Mr Ahmed Kwabena who worked at the Tema Harbor was reportedly threatened by Captain Smart to pay the said amount which is equivalent to over 10,000 Ghana cedi’s or gets him exposed on the Onua TV morning show over some issues at the port.

Out of fear and disgrace, Mr Ahmed Kwabena Nkrumah reportedly accepted Captain Smart’s request and sent him an amount of 50,000 Ghana cedi’s.

He later slept over his action and reported the case to the Police. Workers from the National Signal Bureau were Secretly dispatched as Mr Ahmed Kwabena Nkrumah scheduled a date to deliver to balance to Captain Smart.

According to the prosecution, Captain Smart sent one of his boys to receive the money on his behalf. All this while, filming, and picture taking was ongoing.

Immediately Captain Smart's boy handed the envelope to him, he reportedly placed it in his right pocket. At this stage, Officers from National Signal Bureau showed themselves and requested what Captain Smart was putting in his pocket.

Both Captain Smart and his boy were arrested but managed to jump bail. Today, Circuit Court Judge Kk Obiri Yeboah has officially charged Captain Smart with extortion. His boy has also been charged with an abutment. However, they were given bail in the sum of 50,000 Ghana cedis.

The case has been adjourned to 22 February 2022.
