Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame, has claimed that manager of Rufftown Records, Bullet, was not successful during his days as a rapper as compared to what he has achieved as an artiste-manager.

Okyeame Kwame used the illustration to admonish other young artistes who are coming into the industry advising them to spread out their options and not just focus on one aspect so that if one venture turns out to be unfruitful they could easily diversify into the others as Bullet has done.

He pointed out that Bullet has achieved more in the industry because the artistes that have been managed by him were able to garner a lot of success so therefore new artistes must take a leaf from his playbook if they hope to achieve success too.

“If you are seeking to be an artiste and it doesn’t work, then you need to come to the realisation that maybe it won’t work. Perhaps, you need to try something else.

“You can be a recording artiste manager…look at Bullet, he has succeeded more as an artiste manager than as a rapper…,”he explained while speaking in an interview on Angel 102.9FM’s Mid-morning Show, Y’Adwuma Nie.
