Bulldog explains why Patapaa can't claim to be a major artist

Bulldog explains why Patapaa can't claim to be a major artist

Fantana recently caused a sensation on the Netflix series "Young, Famous and African" when she claimed that she was the biggest dancehall musician in Ghana.

Fantana was previously signed to Rufftown Records until she abruptly parted ways with the energetic record label.

Her comment caused "commotion" on the Ghanaian internet, but on Saturday, experts from the renowned United Showbiz program on UTV looked into the situation and gave their thoughts.

Bullgod refuted her claim, claiming that she lacked the musical background necessary to claim to be the biggest dancehall musician.

Fantana lacks the body of work that a major artist should have, in his opinion, hence she is not eligible to be included among the top artists in Ghana.

Bulldog stated that despite Patapaa having one of the most well-known songs in Ghana, he was unable to maintain the enviable reputation that came with his song "One Corner" and so cannot be referred to as a major musician.

"She is not, if you weigh the situation. To do it, you need a lot of catalogs. For someone to claim to be huge, if Sarkodie claims to be big, there are works to prove it. Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy can also claim to be big since there are works to prove it.

Patapaa had one of Ghana's most popular songs, but he failed to expand the library, which prevented him from becoming a successful musician.

Fantana lacks something, which is what makes an artist. She has skill. She is stunning. She has all the tools necessary to be the biggest; perhaps she is speaking of her future. Therefore, she must put in the effort when she arrives, he demanded.
