Bring Sunyani back to her cleanest city status-Former chancellor UENR 

The Former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Energy and Natural resources Professor. Mrs. Esi Awuah has said, it is a worry how people dispose of refuse and plastic anyhow. 

Prof Esi was speaking during the launch of the 10th Anniversary of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER) in Sunyani.
 She said, “this is a bad behavior which if persists it is the likelihood that there will be no food”,  adding that during her stay in Sunyani, the city was one of the cleaners if the most cleaners in the country. 

She called on the Sunyani Municipal Assembly SMAto put in place measures to discourage the indiscriminate disposal of plastic in the Municipality.

She also charges the UENR to continue their cleanup exercises and extend them to other places as they are close to the residency area.

The University of Energy and Natural Resources is a public-funded university in Ghana, that was established by an Act of the Parliament of Ghana, Act 830, 2011 on December 31, 2011.
