Fix our deplorable road Now – Nananom of Kwakuduakrom tell Gov't

The Chiefs (Nananom) and People of Kwakuduakrom, a farming Community near Ayomso in the Asunafo North Municipal of Ahafo Region have appeal to the government to fix the road linking the community and Ayomso.

The chiefs in an interview with SN24 News said the road is affecting them so much to the extent that commercial activities have come to a standstill.

According to them, the contractor started work on clearance, bridges, and culverts on a 4.5kilometre road project in June 2020 but left the site after the election without putting culverts on dumps he created on the road making it inaccessible for drivers.

For this reason, farmers are unable to carry their farm produce to the market for sale, besides cars carrying passengers on the road charge excessive fares looking at the nature of the road, adding that avoidable accidents happen on the road every time because of the nature of the potholes. Road users tried to dodge the potholes resulting in unnecessary accidents.

The Kontihene of Kwakuduakrom, Nana Kofi Nyame on behalf of the Chiefs appeal to the government to compel the contractor to site before the rains set in.
