The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu has signalled all party stakeholders that breaking the eight is not a mouth talk but demands dedication and hard work to overcome the jinx.

He referred that the party can look back to the 2020 general elections, embrace the positives and correct their flaws to remain unshakable in the 2024 polls.

He made the statement during the NPP Delegates Conference held in the Ashanti Region, Ejisu Akyawkrom. The conference was aimed at uniting the party people from all the 47 constituencies in the Region and also account to them.

John Boadu took the platform to dismiss unfavourable comments made by the National Democratic Congress that the NPP does not put the development of the Ashanti Region at heart despite constituents commitment towards the party.

He addressed that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo’s government has been faithful to the Region on promises made, with lots of infrastructural projects completed whiles others are ongoing.

“The President has undertaken a lot of developmental projects in the region yet talks keep evolving that he has done nothing,” Mr John Boadu said.

“The Boankra Inland Port was supposed to be done during former President Kufuor’s time, the NDC abandoned it and in the time of President Nana Addo, a huge loan for the project has been secured. Talk of the Kumasi Inner City Roads, the Phase 1, 2 and 3 of Kumasi Airport, Bekwai Inner Roads, Konongo Inner Roads, Kumasi-Obuasi roads, Nsuta Beposo Road, Maternity Block of Komfo Anokye after 48 years has now begun.

“We have revived AngloGold Ashanti, the Kufuor Estate at Ejisu, Osei Tutu Estate at Asokore Mampong and a lot of 1D1F across the region have been revived,” he added.

He called on all stakeholders of the party to get their facts right to dissolve ill-thoughts whispered in the minds of Ghanaians who now frowns at the New Patriotic Party.
