The Bono Regional Fire Command has advised the general to be extra careful with regards to the use of fire.

Commenting on the fire outbreak at Sunyani Area 4 which destroyed lots of properties to Soiree News, the Bono Regional Fire Commander, DCFO Heroine Boakye said with care, fire outbreaks in the region could be reduced since most are preventable.

She said home appliances and electrical gadget used at various homes must be taken proper care of in order not to cause fire outbreaks. 

Shop owners at Sunyani Area 4 had their shops and properties burnt to Ashes to the fire outbreak that gutted the area last Wednesday night.

The disaster caused the death of one trader who upon hearing the news collapsed and was pronounced on arrival when she was sent to the Bono Regional Hospital for treatment.

Speaking to some of the victims on how the fire started and how much they have lost to the disaster, they said they are unable to give an accurate figure as they are yet to assess the situation.

However, the Bono Regional Fire Commander DCFO Heroine Boakye says her outfit is still investigating the disaster and will update the media when they are one.
