The position of the current coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane is shaky at the moment after his club's exit in the Champions League semi-finals against Chelsea.

A report from Tuttosport indicates that Real Madrid were already looking for a replacement for Zidane before his defeat on Wednesday night to the Premier League side.

Former Juventus and AC Milan boss, Maxi Allegri has been spotted as a suitable replacement for the Spaniard, who could is under the radar of Juventus.

Andre Pirlo's project in Serie A seems not pleasing to fans and stakeholders after failing to win this season's title. Zidane could be appointed to oversee their rebuild, with reports that Florentino Perez has approached Allegri in the past and he’s said to be a big fan.

Should the three-time Champions League winner switch from Spain to Italy, Ronaldo could finally be settled and his dream of winning the Champions League with Juventus could be fulfilled, having failed twice since he joined under two different managers; Mauricio Sari and Andre Pirlo.

To Toni Kroos, Zidane has a contract but is solidly sure he will be on the touchline for Real Madrid.

"I think he'll be our coach next season," Kroos said, laughing when put in the uncomfortable position of being asked about Zidane's future during their pre-Chelsea press conference.

"He has a contract."
