Arsenal is in talks with Joe Hart over a possible move, the Sun has confirmed.

The former England goalkeeper would take over Bernd Leno's spot after he sustained an injury through a collision with Brighton forward, Neal Maupay on Saturday. He was stretched off the pitch after 25-minutes and was replaced by Emiliano Martinez.

 

 

The Gunners lost the game by 2-1 after Nicolas Pepe put them in front by curling beyond into the far corner of the home side post.

Lewis Dunk equalized seven minutes later and Maupay gave the host the win late in the second half.

Leno was quick to point fingers at Maupay for deliberately getting him injured as a couple of Gunners players accused the French International of the act.

 

 

The 23-year old after the game in an interview with BT Sports revealed how sorry he was and efforts made to restore sanity between him and Arsenal players that the act was an accident, not deliberate.

"At half-time, I went to Arteta to apologize because I never meant to injure their keeper," Maupay told BT Sport. "I just jumped to get the ball maybe and I think he twisted his knee, I never meant to hurt him. "I am really sorry. I apologize again and I wish him a speedy recovery."
