Berekum West:Physical planning officer cautions residents against illegal purchasing of land

The Physical Planning Officer of Berekum West District in the Bono Region, Mr. Yaw Mensah Gyabon has cautioned the citizens of the area to be cautious of the kind of lands they purchase for development purposes.

According to him most of the lands that have been purchased by citizens in wrongful locations will soon be evaluated and demolished. 

He said, his office has identified most of the properties built on waterways, streets, and other buffer zones which don't have a permit are under consideration for demolition but said the Assembly special Planning Committee is meeting on such issues to agree upon the way forward if such properties. 

He, therefore, advised the people and other individuals to take advantage of the Physical Planning Department to consult them whenever a person wants to take a step to acquire lands for developmental projects. 

He again advised other individuals buying lands close to the Asuaokora river to avoid that especially those encroaching on that riverbank should desist from such activities.
