The Member of Parliament for the Ledzokuku Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon Benjamin Ayiku Narteh has donated items and cash to some selected schools within the constituency.

This was in fulfilment of a joint request from the heads of the schools to clear an outstanding debt owed to Ghana Water Company for the past two years and behind it was a profound expression of gratitude to the MP for his quick response to their request by the heads of the Teshie Camp 2 schools.

The Teshie Technical Training Centre and the O'Reilly Senior High School have also received LED street lights from the MP to enhance security on their school compound.

In a short address, the MP emphasised the importance of education and his commitment to ensuring that educational infrastructure and materials be made available at all times in order to improve teaching and learning within the constituency.

According to Hon. Ben Ayiku Narteh, these LED lights will brighten the school compounds to avert any act of crime while ensuring sanity on these school compounds.

Again, as part of his investment in the educational sector in the constituency, the MP has procured modern-day computers and its accessories which will be presented to the Teshie Library and ICT Centre constructed under the leadership of late Hon. Nii Nortey Dua to ensure that all students have a practical feel of the topics they would be taught under Information Communication Technology after many years of deprivation.

The MP assured constituents that he will liaise with the Municipal Assembly to renovate some classroom blocks at the Teshie Northern Cluster of Schools which are in a deplorable state.
