Bedieso Old Town Assembly Member In Obuasi Registers Over 500 People Onto The NHIS

The registration of these people onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is being single handedly done by the incumbent Assembly Member for Bedieso Old Town Electoral Area, Honourable lshmael Yakubu, aimed at promoting the quality healthcare of the people in his area of jurisdiction.

More than 500 people, particularly those who have the low economic standard in Bedieso Old Town Electoral Area of the Obuasi municipality in the Ashanti Region benefited largely from free national health insurance registration to give them access to quality health care.

The registration of these people onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is being single handedly done by the incumbent Assembly Member for Bedieso Old Town Electoral Area, Honourable lshmael Yakubu, aimed at promoting the quality healthcare of the people in his area of jurisdiction.

According to him, this initiative is being done to the residents, particularly the aged persons and underprivileged individuals in the society to tied in with the drive to make things better for the aged, the poor and the vulnerable.

He stated that every year since he has been elected the Assembly member in the area,he managed to use his own personal resources to freely register aged persons and children onto the NHIS and that this health insurance initiative is done in his determination to properly manage the health of the people in the area.

Honourable lshmael Yakubu advised all health insurance cardholders to make sure that they safely kept the cards to enable them to continue to enjoy free care at the point of service delivery.
