BECE School Placement System: Beware Of Fraudters; Parents Advised by GES

The Director of Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region, Mr Isaac Oscar Odoom, has cautioned parents to be wary of fraudsters who claimed to have protocols in the 2022 computerized school placement system and are using them to charge monies to get students placed to their preferred choice.

The Director of Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region, Mr. Isaac Oscar Odoom, has cautioned parents to be wary of fraudsters who claimed to have protocols in the 2022 computerized school placement system and are using them to charge monies to get students placed to their preferred choice.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com, Mr. Odoomo reiterated that even heads of schools after their 5 protocols given have no power over the system not even directors of education.
He stressed the need for the parents should not entertain anybody who comes as an agent of School Placement and should report them to be arrested.
He also advised the JHS graduates who were not automatically placed by the system to do self-placement or seek help from the appropriate quarters for assistance.
He made the statement when the MP for Ekumfi Constituency, Mr. Abeiku Crentsil presented 100 chop boxes, 100 trunks, provisions, books, pens, and other educational materials to the best students in the Ekumfi Constituency.
Narrating the reason behind the presentation to the students, the MP said education is his number one priority and wants education to be more attractive to the youth in the area, hence decided to motivate them with the items. 
However, the students who received the items expressed gratitude to MP for his benevolence and promised to make good use of the items to achieve their intended purpose.
