The Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi, Hon. Alexander Obour Damoah has charged residents within the area to be security-conscious and report suspicious activity to the police.  That he is hopeful will help the police in clamping down criminals.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi, Hon. Alexander Obour Damoah has charged residents within the area to be security-conscious and report suspicious activity to the police.
 That he is hopeful will help the police in clamping down criminals.


He made the call when he inspected the Tromso Police post to assess it ahead of commissioning.
The MCE assured Chiefs, and people of the Tromeso community that he will expedite actions to meet specifications for the operationalization of the police post to ensure peace and security in the area. 
Commending the chief of the area, the MCE said, “It worthy to note the commitment of the Chief to see the operationalization of the Police post, he has therefore earmarked a temporary and permanent accommodation for police personnel who would be stationed at the Tromso Police post.
Honorable Alexander Obour Damoah was accompanied by the Wenchi Divisional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). Mr. Emmanuel Yankey, the Wenchi Municipal Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr. Eric Avudzivi, and some Officials from the Assembly.
As part of measures to enhance security situations in the municipality, the MCE provides new street light bulbs in high-risk areas.
