Artists in Ghana will do better on Tiktok than in Nigeria while promoting their songs, according to Bullgod

Bullgod, an entertainment analyst and artist management, is cautioning Ghanaian musicians against believing, when promoting their music in Nigeria, that it will be heard outside of Ghana.

Instead, he urged them to give Tiktok, which offers a greater platform, audience, and prospects, priority when it comes to song promotion.

Bullgod made these remarks in response to a request made by Adesope Olajide, a Nigerian promoter and broadcaster, for Ghanaian singers to select Lagos, their home nation, as a secondary location for promoting their native music.

Bullgod, however, mocks the idea and goes on to say that many creatives have a greater platform to market and exhibit their work internationally thanks to the internet.

"This is 2023; don't allow anyone tell us that in order to promote music, we must travel to Nigeria. We will not visit Lagos. And why would we ever want to? With everything being computerized these days, there is no time for that.

"If we were unaware of the internet's importance, we certainly felt it at the height of the coronavirus outbreak. No one has the leisure to visit Lagos. The TikTok headquarters should be the next location you should go after releasing a song in Accra. "Go to the TikTok office and pay them if you have the money for a promotion," he said.
