Ghanaian artiste(former), Kontihene has officially announced that he has decided to quit his music career path.

He made this revelation while speaking to Abeiku Santana in a recent interview.

The former artiste stated that his decision follows years of careful consideration because he has been thinking of quitting the music industry years back when he released his first album.

According to him, he has not recorded any song in any studio for the past 2 years and his last official release was Tricks’ which came after he teamed up with Ponobiom on ‘Dedeede'.

His rationale for quitting is that he does not want to do the same thing until he dies therefore he is putting his faith in God to lead him on his next path.

The former rapper used the same vein to state that he is only willing to 'forgive Kwaw Kese, his musical rival if Kwaw Kese agrees to kneel down before him for blessings.

He claimed that he is exalted with blessings and the anointing of the Almighty God, and until he blesses Kwaw Kese, he might keep struggling.

“I will only bless Kwaw Kese if he brings anointing oil and to come to kneel before me. I will bless him because I have the power of anointing”, Kontihene concluded.

Kontihene grew up in the city of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He had his basic education at the Martyrs of Uganda School and went on to Opoku Ware Secondary School. He learnt to play the piano at a young age and can play the saxophone as well.

Emmanuel Nana Appiah Boateng known by his stage name Kontihene is a Ghanaian hiplife musician.

'Aketesea', from his debut album Nyankonton won the Song of the Year Award during the 2003 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards making him the first new artist at the time to have received this award.
