Akon admits, "I'm a fan of Black Sherif"

Akon, a Senegalese-American singer, record producer, and businessman, has admitted that he like popular musician Black Sherif's work.

One of the young musicians from Ghana that has expanded his musical career internationally is Black Sherif. Currently, he serves as the face of African music.

Afrobeats music has been promoted to the international music scene thanks in part to Black Sherif, according to African-American music icon Akon.

Akon acknowledged his admiration for Black Sherif during a BBC Radio 1Xtra interview with Eddie Kadi. He admitted that the young musician reminds him of the original energy that got him into music years ago.

Akon added that he often listens to Black Sherif's music and has informed big record labels of his plans to collaborate with the outstanding singer. He remarked that the plot of Black Sherif's sounded incredibly authentic.

He continued by saying that Black Sherif recounts his ghetto difficulties in real life.

He continued by saying that when Black Sherif sings, he can hear the struggles and suffering the singer has endured in his voice.

The major record labels needed to sign him before I did, according to Akon, if they don't take him up.
