Rocky Dawuni: "I wonder why event planners don't book me for shows"

Rocky Dawuni is perplexed because despite his international fame, Ghanaian event planners won't invite him to perform there. He has three Grammy Award nominations.

Even though he has had three Grammy nominations and has resided in Ghana for the past four years, the Ghanaian international reggae musician believes he still doesn't understand why promoters don't book him.

Rocky Dawuni stated to Nhyira FM in Kumasi that he believes the event organizers are unwilling to pay him because they lack the funds.

Rocky Dawuni remarked, "It has nothing to do with money. I responded that I had no influence over whether or not the event organizer will book me when someone else asked the same question.

He claims that because he has no influence over the event organizers' actions, he can do nothing to encourage them to hire him to perform.

"I have no control over that. However, we should question any event coordinator as to why Rocky Dawuni isn't hired for performances despite having received three Grammy nominations, he said.
