Adansiman Progressive Association, a pressure group in the heart of Obuasi, has today, January 11 elected and inaugurated its National executives.

The Association which has been in existence since 2018 has a vision of ensuring developments and progress in the Adansi enclave but had its legitimacy challenged after another group came up with the same name.

Mr George Mensah Bonsu, who was elevated to the high office of National president said, their main objective was to help in bringing development to help reduce the unemployment rate in the country. He made special recognition of Asantehene, Otumfour Osei Tutu 11 for bringing into life the Anglogold Ashanti in Obuasi after it's collapsed to provide goods and services that consumers can enjoy.

Mr Mensah further said, they will work hand in hand with MPs and MMDCEs in the enclave to ensure that, every school-going child will be engaged in education.

He told that regardless of the existence of the free senior high school program by the incumbent government of Ghana, many school-going age children are still at home hence their involvement to get them to the classrooms.

He further called on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to help solve the chieftaincy issues bothering the Adansi enclave in order to bring more development.

The District Chief Executive of Akrofuom, Honorable Jonas Maurice Woode,  Guest of honour of the event applauded the good works of the Association and further advised the executives to eschew politics and personal interest to serve their purpose better.
