On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, a Federal High Court judge in Lagos convicted the woman known as Okoye Blessing Nwakaego after she pleaded guilty to a two-count allegation of cyberstalking.

According to reports, Justice Nicholas Oweibo took into account the convict's regret and offered her the choice of paying a N150,000 fine in lieu of going to jail.

The accusation is that between December 2022 and July 2023 in Lagos, Nwakaego and a man named Chimabia who is wanted for questioning conspired to perpetrate the crime.

Additionally, it was claimed that the pair purposefully spread her mobile number in communications on several blogs and social media platforms.

Nwakaego acknowledged creating the video in response to a male friend's suggestion.

The police deemed the behavior to be "grossly offensive, false and to cause annoyance, inconvenience, danger, insult, injury, criminal, intimidation, enmity, hatred and needless anxiety to the prejudice of Badmus."
