A Staunch NPP Member Defected to NDC in Berekum East Constituency at the NDC 30th Anniversary Celebration.

A staunch New Patriotic Party (NPP) member in Berekum East Constituency, Alex Oben popularly known as Etuo Mu Yesum has defected to National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the party's 30th-anniversary celebrations that were held in Berekum on Sunday 12th June 2022.

Speaking to Soireenews Correspondent Opamago Paparichy in an exclusive interview siad, he has been a staunch member of NPP for the past 20 years but now feels to join the NDC to wrestle power from NPP come 2024 general elections. 

Evangelist Alex Obeng who supported NPP in the 2016 elections to lambast the NDC on their failure to revive the collapsed financial investment companies to which many people fall victim to their activities such as DKM, God is love, Jesta Motors, and Perfect Edge among others to drum home victory for NPP in 2016 through his communication strategy.

He emphasized, the number of demonstrations he led the aggrieved customers to organize the then NDC government close to the 2016 elections which brought the NDC to the opposition, he said he was doing his best to bring NPP into power but speaking, according to him nothing has changed for the past 6 years and all the promises and assurances NPP has all come to naught. 

Evangelist Alex Obeng publicly has declared his support for the NDC and is ready to fight for them as he did in 2016 for NPP to help the party come back to power to deliver Ghanaians from the mess NPP has created for the past 6 years.

He said, "I am now an NDC member and has registered to vote for NDC come 2024 general elections come what may, NDC will come back to power to continue the good work we all criticized".

The Executives of the party at the 30th anniversary including NDC General Secretary Honourable Asiedu Nkatia, Former Berekum East Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Honourable Opoku Boakye Yiadom, and among other founding members of the party welcomed him to the party to become one of the party's communications team within the Berekum East Constituency.
