Kai Havertz is in line to make his debut in Chelsea’s opening Premier League fixture against Briton & Hove Albion on Monday according to the Daily Mail.

The former Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder joined the Blues last week in a £62m after abandoning International duty with Germany to seal the much-anticipated move of his career.

Havertz per the report has impressed in training since joining his teammates, 24 hours after putting pen to paper on a five-year deal, and has caught the attention of manager, Frank Lampard to feature the 21-year-old.

The Premier League move for the player is a dream come true as revealed in his interview and as one of German football’s highest-rated young players following his breakthrough at Bayer Leverkusen, the player is willing to add to his numbers secured in the Bundesliga last season.

He scored 18 goals in 48 matches in all competitions last season, providing 11 assists.

Ben Chilwell would not be able to make his debut as he is recovering from his heel injury sustained at last season at Leicester City.

Fellow compatriot, Timo Werner who was on national duty with Germany is also a key figure to start for the Blues.
