Chelsea welcome Manchester United at Stamford Bridge while Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will host Arsenal at Anfield in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues fans were dazzled to see their beloved club return to winning ways at the Bridge in a thrilling 7-1 game against Grimsby. Batsuayi scored a brace, Ross Barkley, Pedro, Zouma were on the score sheet. Reece James registered his debut goal and Hudson-Odoi appreciating additional time goal on his return from injury.

Chelsea once again failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 10 games in all competitions, including all nine under Frank Lampard - they last went on a longer run between September and December 1996 under Ruud Gullit (16 games).

The Red Devils were stretched by Rochdale after both sides settled for a 1-1 draw in full time. Manchester United qualified when Keohane missed his kick for Daniel James to hit the final spot kick at the back of the net.

The two sides will meet for a fifth different season in the League Cup, and the first since they also met in the fourth round in 2012-13 - Roberto Di Matteo's Blues beat Alex Ferguson's United side 5-4, with eight different players scoring.

 

 

 

LIVERPOOL VRS ARSENAL

Liverpool will face Arsenal in a League Cup match for the 15th time, making it the most played meeting in the history of the competition. Klopp’s youngsters conquered League 1 side, MK Dons by 2-0 –James Milner and Hoever in both halves of the game. At 16 years and 174 days old, Harvey Elliott became the youngest ever player to start a competitive match for and the second youngest to play overall after Jerome Sinclair against West Brom in September 2012 (16y 6d).

Unai Emery’s side comfortably walked over Nottingham Forest by 5-0 on Tuesday night.

 

MANCHESTER CITY VRS SOUTHAMPTON

Manchester City was drawn to Southampton at the Etihad Stadium and Watford will travel to Merseyside to face the Blue side of the city at Goodison Park.
