Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has sent an emotional farewell message to James Rodriguez.

The former Los Blancos man completed his move to the Premier League on Monday night after signing a two-year deal to reunite with former manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

Everton acquired the former World Cup Golden Boot winner for 25 million euros after he spent six years at the Bernabeu.

"Good luck, my friend!" Ramos wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of the pair together.

"Although with that left foot and that talent, you won't need it.

"See you soon, brother. Best wishes."

The 29-year-old assured Toffees fans that, with the hard work put in by Carlo Ancelotti, his winning mentality and that of the current squad will help empower Everton into a winning side to embrace accolades for the club.

“I’m a winner, I’m a real winner,” Rodriguez added. “I can see the plans here, the project here is very serious. Everyone means business.
