YouStart has Targeted Youth in Agriculture in Berekum West District-District Cheif Executive.

The DCE of Berekum West has said the YouStart has been started in the district to focus on the youth in agriculture in the district. 

The DCE in an interview with Sorienews Correspondent Opamago Paparichy said, the agric sector has been the backbone of the country and the district can boost rice and tomato production in the District. 

He said, the Assembly has opened its doors for the youth in agric and other sectors to access the program for the benefit of their future.

He said, there is some youth in rice production, fish farming, and livestock production and those in tomatoes farming are being encouraged to move forward to apply for the YouStart program to support most of the youth and assist them in getting more jobs in the District. 

He added that the youth in the district should embrace the program to get financial assistance to expand their businesses, especially those in agriculture which can easily be supported. 

On the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) education, the DCE said, the Assembly has got its share of the TVET program which has started in the country. 

He said the assembly has acquired land for the construction of the Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) in the District which will soon commence.

He commended the MP of the area,  Hon  Kwaku Agyenim Boateng, and the government for the developmental projects for the District.
