All the six Municipal and District Chief Executives in the Ahafo Region have been sworn into office today.

They were urged to avoid partisanship in their approach to issues.

The Chief Executives have also been urged to be objective in the decision-making process and avoid partisan considerations.

Their swearing-in followed their endorsement by Assembly Members of their respective municipalities and districts in the region.

Swearing in the MMDCEs at the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council, Honourable George Boakye, Ahafo Regional Minister, reminded them that the President nominated them to serve the people and not to weigh their positions over them and that their appointments are offering them the rare opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of their areas.

The Ahafo Regional Minister advised them to serve all those people as a united whole, but exhibit maximum experience and tactfulness in doing so, to enable them to meet the expectations of each particular group of people.

The President of Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Ansah Adu Baah II, who congratulated the MMDCEs advised them to work hard to promote the development of the Ahafo region.
