School building

The school building of Woribagu Ahmadiyya Primary school is in a deplorable state putting about 200 pupils and teachers in danger.

The building if not taken care could take away valuable lives due to negligence.

When Soireenews visited the school in Tolon District in the Northern Region, it observed that there were deep cracks in the walls of the school blocks, with one side about to collapse.

The remaining side was crumbling, and would probably fall in the advent of a strong storm.

The weak nature of the building has also resulted in the overcrowding of the classroom, which the teachers are finding difficult to cope with, and pupils are going through a difficult time because they do not have sufficient classroom for practical works.

Most of the pupils are forcing themselves on the dual desk due to lack of furniture and some have to sit on the bare floor to write.

The Headmaster of the school refused to talk to Soireenews on the matter as non-Governmental Organisation, opinion leaders and stakeholders have been called to come to the aid of the school.
